Tips for staying positive!
April 26, 2016

I’m certainly not naive to the fact that that bad thing’s can happen in life and you shouldn’t be either. As much as I try my best to look for the good in every situation, sometimes I struggle. People can easily become negative. Don’t get stuck in it. I wish more people understood that they are responsible for the energy that they release into our world. Energy’s are contagious. We’re all human though, right? I believe that opening up to others around you and trusting the people in your life is so important. We should be helping one another stay positive.

In order for anyone to influence your life, you have to open up and trust by giving another person permission to speak into your life.

Who has been the biggest influence in your life?

Whenever I’m weak, I’ll remember those who remind me to be strong. Whenever I doubt myself, I’ll remember those who believe in me. Throughout all of the crazy ups and downs, I rely on the people in my life for support. The people we keep around us are such strong reflections of who we truly are.

Not everyone has close friends and family to depend on. Sometimes you have to go out and create the life you want by meeting new people and building your own support network. If you can’t answer the question above, I would encourage you to open up and give people a chance to influence your life in a positive way. There are so many good people in this world that want to help others.

Recently I‘ve been going through some pretty challenging times in my own life. I bet you wouldn’t guess that from my inspiring social media posts and all the positivity I intentionally send out into the world. I’m sharing this with you for a reason. I’m certainly not going to air out all my dirty laundry in this blog post but I hope you’ll find inspiration in the fact that I’m keeping it real with you and acknowledging that life can get messy! When you scroll through social media, I would urge you not to compare your life to the controlled content of others.

There are many ways to stay positive. I’m going to quickly share with you just three of my personal favorite tips for staying positive!

Tip #1. Practice Gratitude.

Take time to reflect on what you’re grateful for. You could even take it a step further by writing it down. I have a gratitude journal that I write in everyday. It may sound cliché but it works for me. I’m grateful today for having the vision to write this blog post. I’m grateful that you took the time to read this post. I’m grateful for my friends, family, and support network who believe in me and encourage me. I’m grateful for the internet. Without the internet, I couldn’t share my message with you right now. I’m grateful for the mac that I’m writing on. I’m grateful for the credit card that was used to buy the mac that I use everyday. It’s easy for me. Why don’t you give it a try? What are you grateful for? Gratitude changes everything.

Tip #2. Practice the PAUSE.

I want to encourage you to practice the pause. When in doubt, pause. When angry, pause. When stressed, pause. When overwhelmed, pause. When you’re confused, pause. Whenever I pause, I pray too. I strongly believe in the power of prayer. Don’t allow temporary feelings of weakness convince you that you are weak. You are STRONG! You can do ANYTHING. Don’t cling to a mistake just because you spent a lot of time making it. No matter what the situation, it can never hurt to practice the pause. Have you ever reacted to a situation that you could have handled better had you just paused?

Tip #3. Rely on your support network.

I’m passionate about helping others succeed. I want to encourage anyone reading this to understand your own influence. Know your influence. Everyone has the power to influence others. I hope that you’re choosing to influence others in a positive way. There are so many good people in this world that want to support, encourage, and uplift you. One of my greatest joys comes from encouraging others. There are many other encouragers out in the world, like me. Don’t rob that joy from the people that were placed in your life to be there for you.

Through my blog, I will continue to write. I will continue to use my voice. I will continue to encourage others.

Who can YOU encourage today? Don’t be shy! Share how you encourage others. You can comment below this blog post. Keep the positivity flowing!

Who has been influential to you in your life? Do they know? They need to know.

Nurture the relationships you have in your life, both personally and professionally. You can plant a seed of encouragement in the lives of those around you everyday with a simple phone call, text message, or email. Words of encouragement go a long ways! Share positive affirmations and quotes to help others keep their moods lifted. Share a smile, it’s free.  Stay positive!

You must hush the voices in your head that tell you, “No one wants to read this. This has already been said. “ Your voice does matter. In the moments when your voices finally hush, you might actually hear an angel sing.

Someone recently asked me, “If you could take it all back, would you?” At the time I didn’t know. Now I know for sure, without a doubt. I wouldn’t take that terrible experience back for anything in the world. Too much light has come out of my darkness.
