Wings of Encouragement
May 2, 2018

People have such a huge impact on your life. “Surround yourself with those who breathe belief into you.”

Be intentional about treating others how you want to be treated and stay away from anyone who tries to tear you down or constantly judges you without taking the time to really get to know you. There’s so much negativity in this world. The universe is always working in your favor but people WILL take advantage of you if you let them. I know this because it’s happened to me more than once. It’s happened to friends that I know too.

I’m writing this blog simply to encourage you. I want you to protect your peace and lookout for yourself. Do whatever you need to do to keep your thoughts and energy positive. Have BIG FAITH my friends. We must be the change we want to see in the world. Not everyone who smiles in your face wants to help you but you don’t have to let that stop you. It’s up to you to stay true to yourself. Continue to look for the good in people and find ways to help others. Everyone makes mistakes so quit complaining. Ignore the haters! And always forgive quickly.

“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

Hear me out!! Most everyone’s been burned before. If often turns into a repeat cycle that I feel needs to be stopped– right now. Don’t let anyone else’s behavior hold you back from receiving all your blessings in this lifetime.  Life isn’t easy. Heck, business isn’t either.  Everyone’s looking for their next come up. I feel like the mistakes so many people are making is trying to learn from other people’s success. If you want to succeed, start learning from people’s failures. I’ve failed a lot. I mean A LOT. I’m not ashamed of my mistakes because I’ve also learned from them.  After over more than a decade of messing up, I now help others learn from my mistakes. It takes a bit of humility. But, if you’re feeling like you’re the only one messing up, you’re not alone! Forgive yourself and move on. If someone did you wrong, forgive them and keep moving forward. If you’re looking around and comparing yourself to others, stop that right now. You are uniquely made and God gave you your own gifts to share with the world.

I share some of my favorite biz lessons with my clients during our strategy sessions. <– Get the details by clicking the link.

Hire a life/biz coach if you need help finding your focus. Know what you want. Set boundaries and align yourself with others who share similar morals and values as you do.  Your friends are some of your greatest blessings. We all know that life gets busy. Show appreciation for the people who show up for you.

I want to encourage you reading this to also have the strength to remove any toxic people from your life. You don’t have to think of it as permanent. I don’t care who they are. If they’re holding you back, you’ve got to let go. Negativity is very contagious. This was difficult for me to do for a long time.

I’ve learned that I have to let people be who they are and start putting my own needs first, not the needs of everyone else.

You can’t help someone who doesn’t want to help themselves. If you notice people in your life who only think about themselves and what’s in it for them, cut them off. Quickly. Especially if they refuse to take responsibility for their actions. They have their own growing to do. Real friends check on you and care about you and how you’re doing. You deserve to be surrounded by the best of the best. There are so many good people in this world who will support you tirelessly. Believe it. Rise up and treat yourself accordingly!

“Surround yourself with people who push you to do better. No drama or negativity. Just higher goals and motivation! No jealousy or hate. Simply bring out the best in each other!”

Invite a friend out for coffee, lunch, or even a cocktail. Talk openly. Talk about your failures. Talk about your successes. Talk about ways of supporting one another, both personally and professionally. Don’t make it all about business. Don’t make it all about you either. Be a good friend.

Our friends can be our greatest source of joy!! Bottomline, we all need to stick together! (men & women) I’m grateful everyday for my friends who keep in touch. Ya’ll are THE BEST!! (fist pump) I hope to continue to enrich and add value to the lives of those around me. Thank you for allowing me into your life!

Nothing but love and light to you my friends.

This blog has nothing to do with marketing , unless personal development or networking is part of your biz strategy!
